Sustainability Policy

At Expertise in Labour Mobility, we are actively committed to reducing our impact on the environment. Where possible we recycle or re-use waste materials generated by our team and our business. We are strong supporters of the Climate Action Network for International Educators, the CANIE network

  • Laptops and IT equipment are switched off after work.
  • All our screens are automatically set up to switch off when not in use.
  • Printer cartridges are recycled.
  • Unnecessary lights are switched off.
  • Office equipment we no longer use is donated to charities.
  • We try to limit printing documents (although we have to admit some of us are better at this than others!).
  • We recycle all paper, batteries, plastic, glass, and anything else that can be handed in for recycling.
  • We source ethical products, where possible.
  • We drink a lot of coffee, but we get it from Heilige Boontjes.
  • We travel to work on foot, by bike or by public transport.
  • When travelling for business, we try to use public transport and limit our air travel.
  • To reduce unnecessary commutes, people can work from home when their work allows (and it turns out that is quite often).
  • Our office has just got a complete sustainability makeover, with energy-efficient windows and green roofs.
  • We are lucky to have an office garden filled with flowers and trees. We aim for flowers to bloom year-round to support the bees.
  • And when we have a bouquet in our office, we get it from the sustainable flower shop Bloemetje op Tafel.
  • We do not have a water machine, because what comes from the tap tastes just as good. (plus we have our own CareerProfessor dopper bottles).
